Our Story

Prior to us stepping into the mass produced, throw away age of convenience. There was a time when items were measured by quality not quantity. Pride and passion were invested into making things beautiful, with longevity of service at heart.

For me, an item of furniture that has stood the test of time. Offers so much more than mere functionality. It arouses emotive imagery within.

Friend and founder of Rhubarb Chairs – Shaun Brownell, shared that same passion. Creating and introducing unique pieces of furniture. Embracing traditional values, craftsmanship and classical techniques.

Following Shauns passing, it felt like the right and natural progression to unite both our businesses. Antique and Contemporary showcasing the Rhubarb Collection.

Through the combination of the two, both now sit in harmony alongside one another.

Like so many afore. We are the custodian of the furniture we enjoy. Our aim, is to introduce functionality and beauty in all that we sell.
